At YEW TREE GALLERY, near Morvah, on the scenic coast road from St Ives to St Just, BEHOLD! from the Restless Gallery opens on 4th May.
'Behold!’ features rich and colourful garden paintings by Louis Turpin, light-infused small paintings and prints by Keith Purser and vibrant serigraphs and paintings by Carry Akroyd. New Cornish resident Richard Phethean exhibits new slipware sculptural ceramics and Kate Scott, restrained stoneware incised with lettering. Sarah Palmer’s ceramics are like three-dimensional drawings inspired by her coastal walks. These complement greenwood furniture by Gordon Monk, glorious silk scarves by Pookie Blezard, woven blankets by Sioni Rhys and jewellery by Lucy Jade Sylvester and Tessa Tyldesley. Sculpture in the gardens is by Helen Nock, Mike Savage & Shona Watt. Talks, poetry and demonstrations are part of the exhibition.

A narrow passageway leads to this long established bright and airy gallery offering visibly arresting original and vibrantly exciting abstract paintings as well as evocatively colourful seascapes in a variety of sizes. There is also a selection of prints, cards and postcards.
